WASHINGTON – The American Securities Association (ASA) today applauded a major speech from Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chairman Paul Atkins laying out his vision to strengthen and revitalize America's capital markets.

"Chairman Atkins' vision to strengthen and revitalize America's public markets will expand economic opportunity for generations of America's working families, savers, and retirees," said ASA President and CEO Chris Iacovella. "We look forward to working with Chairman Atkins to reform the SEC's disclosure rules, boost small business capital formation, and ensure America's public capital markets continue to be the envy of the world."
