ASA Applauds SEC Chairman Atkins for Scrutinizing CAT

WASHINGTON – The American Securities Association (ASA) today applauded Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chairman Paul Atkins for his remarks before the SEC Speaks conference calling for a comprehensive review of the Consolidated Audit Trail (CAT).

“We appreciate Chairman Atkins for echoing ASA and Congress’ longstanding concerns about this nefarious government spying program, and we look forward to partnering with the agency to end its unconstitutional intrusion into the portfolios and privacy rights of every American investor,” said ASA President and CEO Chris Iacovella.
