WASHINGTON – The American Securities Association (ASA) today named Adam Rice as its Chief Public Affairs Officer. In this role, Rice will drive ASA's advocacy efforts leading its public affairs and communications operations.

"Adam has nearly 15 years of proven experience managing complex financial services advocacy issues at the highest level, and we are excited to welcome him back to our team. Adding his experience makes certain the ASA will continue to retain its position as a premier financial services advocacy organization in Washington," said ASA President and CEO Chris Iacovella.

Rice rejoins ASA from FTI Consulting, a global business advisory firm, where he was a Managing Director in the Financial Services Public Affairs practice. From 2018-2022, Rice served as ASA's Head of Public Affairs while successfully launching the Association, branding it with policymakers and the media, and growing its membership.

Previously, he served as Director of Communications at the Financial Services Roundtable, where he advised the group’s CEO and former Presidential candidate Gov. Tim Pawlenty (R-MN). Rice served on the House Financial Services Committee under Chairman Jeb Hensarling (R-TX) and as Communications Director for Rep. Randy Neugebauer (R-TX), the Chairman of the Financial Institutions and Consumer Credit Subcommittee. On Capitol Hill, Rice provided counsel at the intersection of U.S. politics and policy.

Rice graduated from Southern Methodist University (SMU) with a B.A. in history with a focus in political science. Additionally, he earned an M.B.A. from the SMU Cox School of Business.
