ASA Names Patrick Bond as Vice President, Head of Public Affairs

WASHINGTON, D.C. – American Securities Association (ASA), the trade association representing retail and institutional capital markets interests of regional financial services firms, today announced Patrick Bond as ASA’s Vice President, Head of Public Affairs. Bond joins ASA from the Office of Congressman Frank Lucas (OK-03), where he served as Communications Director.


As Vice President, Patrick will develop and execute ASA’s communications and public affairs strategies, work to advance the Association’s agenda on key policy issues and educate the public about the value of the financial services industry.


“Patrick is uniquely qualified to step into this role- he is a poised communicator with an impressive background,” said ASA President & CEO Chris Iacovella. “His experience, leadership-style, and reputation will greatly enhance ASA’s delivery of thoughtful, effective communications in Washington and around the country.”


Before joining ASA, Bond was Communications Director for Congressman Frank Lucas (OK-03), the longest-serving Republican on the House Financial Services Committee. There he developed and executed communications strategies for the Congressman and served as spokesperson on legislative and regulatory priorities.


Prior to the Office of Congressman Frank Lucas, Bond was a congressional staff for Congressman Robert Aderholt (AL-04) and worked on political campaigns. Before his near decade in Washington, Bond worked for both Governor Robert Bentley and Governor Kay Ivey of Alabama.


A graduate of the University of Alabama with a degree in political science and public policy, he and his wife reside in New York, New York.
