WASHINGTONThe American Securities Association (ASA) today applauded U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Chairman Paul Atkins for naming Judge Margaret Ryan as Director of the Division of Enforcement.

"ASA applauds Chairman Atkins for naming Judge Margaret Ryan as Director of Enforcement," said ASA President and CEO Chris Iacovella. "Judge Ryan has impeccable credentials, and we look forward to working with an honest, transparent, and highly respected practitioner of the law who will return the SEC's Enforcement Division to objectively calling balls and strikes."
